SHORT ESSAY ON MY AMBITION

Life is the name of co-operation between different professions. They are all important and vital in the entire scheme of life. Life can not run smooth without any of them. A doctor treats us against diseases. Health is wealth. There is no substitute of health. Similarly, engineers are very important in the development of a country or a nation. Farming, weaving, tailoring, sports, are all indispensable for the smooth running of life.
But where do all doctors, engineers etc come from? Certainly they come from different educational institutions. They are the out put of a teacher. Thus teaching is the mother of all professions.
My aim of life is to become a teacher of literature. Teaching is a noble profession. This is the sacred profession of prophets. If there were no other reason, I would prefer teaching for this reason. All prophets are the chosen people of Allah. The holy prophet says, “I have been sent as a teacher.

Had there been any other sublime task of We Allah would have assigned it to His prophets. No, there is nothing else that can hold a candle to being a teacher.
I would love to teach literature rather than sciences. It is so because literature takes up the case of man— the Crown of Creation. It helps us understand the various aspects of man. Science deals with man as a multicellular organism. Sir Richard Livingstone says “Specialization in science is a particular danger." More over, it's only literature that talks of morality which is fast vanishing. Values ore on the decline, Man is becoming a literate animal. The warmth of heart is dwindling. Plato says, “All of our departments of life would ultimately fail for want of only one branch of knowledge, the knowledge of good and evil”.
The reason for present depravity is that teaching and preaching of values is almost nowhere. Horace Mann, a great philosopher says "A teacher who is attempting to teach .without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron"
So I shall inspire my students into learning. I know that knowledge is the fountain head of all human progress. Knowledge is the land whence all the springs of progress sprout. Napoleon says," In the long run, the sword is always beaten by the mind" So I will shape the thinking of my students on modern yet moral lines. A teacher shapes the character of his students. Clay itself is nothing but a mud of soil. It’s only the hand of a potter that gives it shape. I shall try my best to shape the character of my taught in the best manner. They will become vital members of society. I value teaching as an opportunity to sow to revolutionize not only a person but a whole family, a Whole society. It gives an opportunity for national, religious and human devices.
