The world is full of
people. Every country of the world has its own culture, its own custom, its own
language and a lifestyle. Even people living in different regions of country
show remarkable difference in their dress, food, dialects and the like things
that discriminate from the lot. This makes traveling not only a source of joy
but also source of learning.
The Holy Koran also urges us to tray on the earth and to
learn (about different civilization that lived in different era) and what end
did they meet. Traveling has always been a good excursion of man. It is a very
good adventure even today. Even when there were fewer means of transportation,
man traveled far and wide. America is a result; the sole super power of the
world is a result of traveling. Columbus had set out on trade travel where he
happened to discover America. Amerigo Vespussi too was a great traveler who
claimed to have discovered America. America has been named after Amerigo. Marco
Polo traveled to Mediterranean in the day when traveling involved risk of life.
He saw Kubla Khan and his fascinating court. Similarly, Vasco-de-Gama traveled
a far as to reach India. People have been traveling. Robert Christopher, an
American traveled all through the Sahara Desert without any transport of his
own. He experienced the thirst and heat of a desert. A sandstorm told him how
it can bury huge caravans.
Why does man travel? Mainly man travels for trade. He
travels for adventure as well. Traveling is a great source of learning. The
moment we set foot out of the city, we face challenges. We have to make
decisions using our analytical ability. Now, traveling tests our foresight. We
come across different strata of life. Robbers, brigands, cheats, test the
mettle of a traveler. In a strange land, all alone, a traveler must have
courageous heart, sharp eye and high alert mind. Traveling teaches us a great
lesson of tolerance and inculcates (creates) a spirit of accommodating others...
It also prepares us for facing different climates and physical condition.
Traveling is a source of constant amazement and enjoyment. Man enters a valley
wonders and novelty. At every step, new mysteries, new puzzles, new queries, undreamed of lands and unheard of birds and animals confront man. Thus
traveling is a great adventure. Wanderlust has maddened many to explore new
areas of the world. This is supported by the perennial fascination of travelogues
all over the world.
